COVID-19 Update

Dear Ms. Rose's TheraPlace Families and Subscribers,

Ms.Rose’s Theraplace is now offering Telehealth to support your family during the time that our clinic is closed due to Covid-19 guidelines. The appointments will be via online videoconferencing. These will be mainly parent/caregiver consultations and when appropriate, with your child. We ask that you remain available during the entire session, as there will also be home activities and strategies provided.

We will be using Google Hangouts Meet. To participate you will need:

• A computer, tablet or smartphone

• To use Chrome, Firefox or Edge browser

• Internet access

• A space in your home to connect with the therapist that has the least distractions from other family members/pets

• To sign and return the attached Teletherapy Consent Form

Speech will be on Monday afternoons and Tuesday mornings with Rebekah Branaman. OT will be Monday, Weds, Thursday afternoons and Fridays all day with Disha Shah. The appointments will be billed using same method as your prior appointments.

Please let us know if you would be interested in starting teletherapy consults and our office staff will call you to schedule a meeting time for you and your child.

We hope that you and your family are staying safe and healthy!

Dear Ms. Rose's TheraPlace Families and Subscribers,

We hope this message finds you well.

In compliance with Governor Newsom's statewide order to stay at home, Ms. Rose's TheraPlace clinic will be closed until further notice.  Our office staff will work remotely and will access messages daily. If you need to contact us, email or leave a voice message at 916-273-3389 and we will try to respond within 48 hours.

For our families who indicated interest in teletherapy services, we are working hard to facilitate this. You will hear back from us as soon as the virtual systems are in place.

Take care and stay safe!

Dear Ms. Rose's TheraPlace Families,

We have been closely monitoring the rapidly changing COVID-19 situation as it has evolved into a pandemic. Through this difficult period, we want to assure you that we are committed to the safety and well-being of our patients, therapists, and communities.

With that said, we are postponing face to face therapy for the next 14 days.

Current information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and World Health Organization indicates that the U.S. is 1-2 weeks away from being where Italy is right now. What we do over the next 2 weeks is critical so slowing the rate of transmission of COVID 19.

We are hopeful that we will be able to serve our families via teletherapy.  We are working with insurances and our funding sources to get approval. We don't know how long this is going to last, and we are just trying to get ahead of the game and be prepared. This is obviously a fluid situation, so we’ll be monitoring and adjusting our plans and timeline accordingly.

We'd like to take a minute to strongly encourage you to stay home whenever possible - and keep your kids home. In this extraordinary circumstance, there is no such thing as being too cautious, but there is such thing as not being cautious enough. The only way we can stop this is if we're all in this together.

Thanks so much in advance for your understanding during this uncertain time.

Please take good care of yourselves, your family, your friends, and your neighbors as we are all in this together.

To Our Families,

We have been closely monitoring the COVID-19 concern and have made additional changes about cleaning protocols and internal changes as the concerns around this virus have increased. We don’t want to react out of fear and we understand that you and/or your child depend on our services and we want to continue to safely serve our population so that you continue to make progress.

Consistent intervention is key to your child's continued progress and even a small delay in intervention can dramatically delay his or her long term progress. We are committed to figuring out how to continue to provide care during this time for the sake of our employees, as this is their livelihood, and our patients, that rely on us.

Here are the steps that we are taking:

  1. We are wiping down all door knobs, and therapy supplies between patients with a high strength disinfectant.

  2. We are asking families to use the hand sanitizer at the front desk upon entry. Washing hands with soap in the bathroom is highly encouraged as well.

  3. If anyone in your household has a fever, cough, or shortness of breath, contact your doctor. We ask that you or your family member stay home at this time.

These steps help ensure we can continue to maintain our patient care and instill confidence that we are doing everything to keep our families safe.

We are exploring the option of TeleTherapy. If you have access to a computer at your home that has a video feature, and you are interested in this as an option, please email

Please talk to Treva or Stephanie about your specific concerns and we would be glad to work with you to find a solution.

We appreciate your flexibility and understanding!
