Visions Homeschool Program

Ms. Rose's TheraPlace has partnered with Visions to provide the following group programs to Visions Homeschool Families:

Communication Enrichment Program

This program is designed to improve your child's communication skills with peers, teachers, and family! The topics addressed include:

  • Social-emotional communication skills

  • Understanding non-verbal communication

  • Following directions

  • Sentence structure 

  • Asking and answering WH questions (Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How)

  • Understanding cause and effect

  • Identifying the main idea/topic and supporting details

The instruction is provided in a small group environment where students will work together and participate in weekly strategies to take home. The best way to learn about communication is with your peers in a fun, inclusive environment! 

Tuesdays

9:00 am - 10:00 am     1st and 2nd grade

10:00 am - 11:00 am   3rd and 4th grade

11:00 am - 12:00 pm   5th and 6th grade

Kids Playing Treasure Hunt

Sensory Arts & Crafts Program

This group provides a great way for students to develop their fine motor skills, while engaging their senses and creative abilities. Activities will include various types of media, including, gak, shaving cream and paint.  Projects will include painting, drawing, and cutting.

Sensory Motor Gym Program

Sensory Motor Gym Program

This group is great for children who are always on-the-go, have trouble staying focused, or kids who need help with coordinating their bodies to do every day activities, such as riding a bike or getting dressed.  Through a set of specifically sequenced sensory motor activities, your child will develop coordination skills and sensory processing abilities.
